You’ll Be Coming Back

November 03, 2012

Jazz and in particular bossa nova has alwasy been a genre that influences my music. My song ‘You’ll Be Coming Back’ takes those influences and combines a spy-meets-Mariachi Trumpet track performed by Latín Bad-Ass, Serafín Aguilar. That’s my own Mexican touch to create a sound that I feel is truly unique within the genre. I wrote all the horn lines for this album and sang them like a horn for a guide track. Serafín came in and nailed every nuance. The song is ambient yet packs a lot of groove. The lyrical content is laden with double meaning. I want the listener to derive their own conclusion. Is it about espionage? An obesses stalker? Or something else?
